
The current minimum wage in Vermont is $8.06 per hour. If the federal minimum wage exceeds the state rate, the Vermont minimum wage will be replaced with the federal rate.
On the first of every year, the Vermont minimum wage will be increased by 5% or the percentage increase of the CPI, not seasonally adjusted.

Employees who are fired must be paid within 72 hours of the termination. Workers who quit must be paid on the last regular payday; if no regular payday exists, he or she should be paid on the following Friday.
