In May 2010, our firm filed a nationwide lawsuit against Home Shopping Network ("HSN") on behalf of a class of Customer Service Representatives. The lawsuit alleges that Customer Service Representatives were not properly paid for all work time including, but not limited to, time spent booting up computers prior to the start of their shift, checking work related emails, and performing other compensable work for which they were not compensated. The lawsuit has been filed in Florida but is intended to cover all Customer Service Representatives who worked for HSN anywhere, including among other places, Virginia and Florida, during the last three years. We are in the process of preparing a Motion to Certify the case for class action status, and anticipate filing same shortly. Stay tuned for more updates as the case progresses.
